Frequently asked questions
Can I get Warm Homes Plan grants for my flat in L73?
Some flats in L73 do qualify for Warm Homes Plan grants. Eligibility depends on the construction type, your EPC rating, and your household circumstances. Purpose-built cavity wall flats often qualify for insulation and smart heating controls. Solid-wall flats are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Submit the form to find out what your specific flat qualifies for.
Are flats treated differently from houses under the Warm Homes Plan?
Yes. Flats can be more complex to assess because measures such as loft insulation only apply to top-floor flats, and cavity wall insulation applies to ground-floor and exposed-wall units. Heat pump installation in flats also requires more detailed assessment. However, many flats do qualify for at least one funded measure.
Do I need my building management company or freeholder to agree?
For external measures such as wall insulation, consent from the freeholder or management company is usually required in addition to your own consent. The accredited installer will advise you on what permissions are needed for your specific L73 flat.
I rent my flat in L73. Can I still apply?
Yes, flat tenants can apply with their landlord's written consent. The landlord can also apply directly through the landlord route of the Warm Homes Plan. Submit the form and we will guide you through the process.
What is the minimum EPC rating needed for my flat?
Most Warm Homes Plan measures require the property to have an EPC rating of D, E, F or G. If your flat is rated D or below, it is worth submitting the eligibility form to find out what funded improvements are available.
Is the eligibility check free?
Yes. The check is free and takes about 60 seconds. There is no obligation at any stage.
